I wouldn’t recommend this problem . You can use the complete gallon and still have problem with algae . I changed over to BIOGARD products , yes it cost more but you use less and get 100% better results . Also BIOGARD products diensnt break down ypu pool liner as well it’s better to swim in . Enjoy !

Terrible Product
I followed all directions. I backwashed and rinsed the pool before adding. I used 5 gallons for my 50,000 gallon pool. I added it at night and kept the filter running continuously. I made sure the ph was correct. I made sure the chlorine levels were correct. My pool is still totally yellow. Not one bit clearer than before I spent $75 worth of this product. Do not recommend. It does not work.

Better than the rest
I’ve had a pool for 20 years. Every year I have trouble with algae. Until I found Clorox brand Fungicide I bought every brand I could find and had no results, fighting algae through July to September. Not so with Clorox brand. I use it weekly and I never have trouble with algae anymore.

It worked!
New pool owner, permasalt system (treat every 2 weeks) and we were in between treatments. Pool turned green after swimming all weekend, dumped the prescribed amount in (check the calculator from Clorox) at 730am and the pool was normal by 12pm. Definitely recommend using!

I had a persistent algae problem and my (usually effective) shock wasn’t working. Followed the instructions on this product and the pool was clear the next morning… literally overnight. Note: the label does recommend combining this with a shock, when algae is growing, which I did.

Small algae issue so I cleaned the pool/filter thoroughly, ph and chlorine were perfect, and added the Clorox-prescribed amount of this Algaecide with poor results. Literally nothing … zero effect on algae. You could just as well be adding blue food-colored water to your pool … it’d be just as effective. Just wasted my money on this … Usually you can trust Clorox to work as expected, but this particular product is worthless.

Not that strong
I used this product for weekly maintenace and still got algae. Granted, it was after heavy rains and my pool wasn’t holding chlorine. But, I prefer the heavy duty algaecide products to keep algae at bay.

Really helps with keeping the pool clear
After adding this to the pool and allowing the filter to run, the water is noticeably clearer and algae growth is slowed down considerably. Adding the product is fairly straightforward as well. I only need to poor it in along the perimeter of the pool and then rinse out the bottle with pool water before tossing it in the recycle bin.

Great 2 in 1 Product
In the past when opening the pool, I have had to use 2 different chemicals. I like that Clorox has combined both product in one package. I had to wait for the cooler northeast weather to move on to open my pool this year and I used this product at startup. I have had no issues with algae and the clarifier helped clear the small sediment from the mesh pool cover after opening. Trust the Clorox Brand and recommend using their products.

Algaecide & clarifier
Algaecide and clarifier should not be combined in the same bottle. The clarifier can make a sloppy mess in a smaller pool with an inadequate filter.

Pool Looks Reat After Using Algaecide & Clarifier
This product is very effective. I was having trouble controlling green algae and had some black algae as well. I used a high dose of Algaecide & Clarifier and followed up in 10 days with a maintenance dose. After vacuuming, the pool looks great. The water is crystal clear and the stubborn black algae seems better as well. I will continue with maintenance doses weekly.

Used for Pool Start Up!
Well, it is that time again to start up the pool after the winter season – yes even in Florida! SInce we cover the pool during the winter we only have minimal algae to deal with on start up. This product along with the other “start up” products worked just fine to get our pool up and running. We also use the stabilizer, shock and ph increaser. Before we know it – we are up and running for the summer.

I like this algaecide. i love that it is a two for one product. The product is non foaming, which is a huge plus, and is sometimes difficult to find in an algaecide. The clairifier works well as far as I can tell. My water was already in good shape, and is very clear.

I like it!
I first used this product about eight days ago. I had a bad algae bloom and had to shock it while using this. I had to add more after 72hrs but now my pool is clear. It is easy to use, just follow the directions on back and you will receive the results.
