Magic in a bag!!

Okay so as having a pool you always want to make sure your water is safe and balanced. When my test strips show we are off, the 2 in 1 perfect balance was a life saver. I have a 16×10 above ground pool in central texas that we put up every summer. Last year I struggled with a brand from the local pool supply house and had trouble balancing my pool. I use it regularly to keep my pH balanced. The product does dissolve nicely, very minimal brushing the pool bottom if any. Although recommended weekly, you can skip a week or two and not have large swings in pH and Alkalinity depending on use and precipitation.

I use the Clorox Pool&Spa 2-in-1 Perfect Balance after I got my pool open, cleaned and water cleared thanks to the Algaecide and XtraBlue Chlorinating powder (used as a shock). This helps balance the water and stabilize the chlorine. Good stuff here!

I gave this product 3stars because after it rained. I had to add more chemicals to my pool to get it balanced again. It was not able to maintain stabilization of my pool when it rained. It could have something to do with the size of my pool too.

This product makes ongoing pool maintenance a bit easier as this type of tablet uses a chemical that both chlorinates and stabilizes the water. Lasts longer than other tablets I’ve used in the past. I also noticed that I had less trouble with breakthrough algae when I used these tabs. I like them.

Worked great and it is affordable

The Clorox antifoam is a really great product. The anti-foam prevents And a laminate foam. This fast acting formula works great in your spa. The product is very easy to use. Half an ounce per 600 gallons or 1 teaspoon per 200 gallons. You pour the antifoam directly into the water pump while it is running. This product is simple to use. If foam is still persisting you can add another dose to help control the phone. You have to test the water at least once per week for this product to work right. You maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.6. The cleaner smells really nice and it comes in a bottle that has a safety cap keeping it safe from children. The bottle gives clear easy directions letting you know to clean and rinse your filter as needed or once every 30 days. This is a great product very easy to use and the smell I really like. I highly recommend this product.

I have been using Clorox Spa Soft & Clear for a while now, and it’s honestly one of my go-to spa products. The packaging is sturdy and seals well, no leaks or mess when storing it, which I really appreciate. As a little goes a long way, so one bottle lasts a decent amount of time. Quick Work of a Dirty Spa!

I picked up the Clorox Spa Soft & Clear hoping it would simplify keeping my spa water in good shape, and I’m optimistic given the Clorox name. The promise of less maintenance, clearer and softer water, and no more stubborn waterline marks sounds exactly like what I need for my tub. The ‘Mountain Breeze’ scent is a nice touch too. It lived up to its name and smells good. Works quick and even made the water flow out smoother. Water test showed improvement in the hardness as well.

Haven’t had much experience with alkalinity being off in hot tub. Usually is high with type of water we have in our area. Sure it’s an effective and excellent source if need to increase alkaline chemistry based on history use of clorox products for both our pool and hot tub.

Works well, even for attached spas

My spa is not an above ground spa but is one that is attached to a large inground pool, and both are filtered by the same continuous system. However, I sometimes do have to make chemical adjustments in the spa during warmer months, simply because the water isn’t cycled as thoroughly as it is in the main pool unless I fully drain it into the pool and let it refill with filtered water from the main pool. So when i need to tweak the balance of the water in the spa, that’s when this product is great for making those minor adjustments in the spa itself.

Makes such a difference

I have an old sand filter and it doesn’t do the greatest job cleaning the pool and spa. Our pool looks significantly more clear after a good shock. The packaging was convenient and the product was easy to use. This has the typical pool chemical smell, but I do t mind because it makes my pool look significantly better and the chemical smell disappears quickly.

I got this product to sanitize and clarify my water for the season . I opened my spa, tested the water with Clorox Pool & SpaTest Strips(a must have for any spa owner) and the strips did not indicate any problem with the bromine level. As a result, I have not used it yet, but because of the reputable Clorox brand which I’ve used for many years, I am confident that it will clear my spa when it needs it. The instructions on the container are easy to follow and the spa can be used within 15 minutes after application.

Water looks amazing.

Works great for our little hot tub

I received these complementary items and exchange from my honest review. A couple months ago we bought one of the inflatable Saluspa’s. It’s been enjoyable in the evenings. However, it is getting hotter here in Florida and so we have been worried about the water and walls in the hot tub getting kind of scummy or slimy. It actually has a little bit a couple of times, but these products by Clorox have been very useful! The granules are small, so it doesn’t sit at the bottom of the hot tub. And the test strips work great! This is something that we will add to our supply list and we will also use the strips for our backyard pool!

Shockingly good 😜

Taking care of my spa is a pretty easy job, especially now that I have the Clorox all in one shock. It is really great at giving a quick shock to the water to keep it clean and well maintained. The levels were great soon after shocking the hot tub. It’s easy to use and water is safe 30 minutes later. There is a lot of shock in the container so it will last a long time.

just opened my hot tub in New Jersey. The weather was hot then got cold so it was perfect timing. Filled it up with fresh water and used the Clorox spa test strips. Chlorox Extra Blue 3″ Chlorinating Tabs

Hi. My name is Pat and I am 72 years old. I own and maintain a pool in Fl and have been doing so for 23 years. I am not a pool maintenance expert, but over the years, with the help of Clorox products, i have been able to keep my pool crystal clear, algae free and at safe chemical levels for all who swim in my pool. The extra Blue 3″ Clorinating tablets allow me to have sparkling water and keep it from having algae. The product works fantastic and is especially great during rainy season because it continues to chlorinate the water and kill algae. I am unable to lift the heavy jugs of chlorine, so these tablets are so easy for me to use. I have been using this product ever since I moved to Florida and have always had excellent results. I highly recommend it.

Easy Pool Chlorine Addition

For years now I have been using the Clorox Pool & SPA XtraBlue 3” Chlorinating Tablets. The ability of dropping the tablets into my inline chlorinator with little fuss makes pool maintenance easy. The fact that they have long-lasting sunlight protection helps keep a pool clean and algae free in very sunny Southwest Florida. I use the Clorox Xtrablu+ 3″ tabs exclusively in my pool. I have tried other tabs and they just don’t do as good as job. Other brands wouldn’t give my pool that sparkling clear blue that we all want as pool owners. They also last longer than the non-name brand tabs.

I was quite impressed by the XtraBlue+™ Chlorinating Tablets. They have a few added ingredients that help with controlling everyday algae with the algaecide and they have a clarifier included which helps keep my water at it clearest and best looking ever. These additives put the tabs at the top of my list. I fill my in line chlorinator feeder with several tabs and I am set for several weeks of crystal clear water that is free of contaminants.

Tablets lasted a good 4 days before needing to replace. Used tablets in a floater instead of chlorinator. The tablets help maintain chlorine levels through the week along with adding liquid chlorine. Will continue to use in floater.

Clorox Pool Tablets keep your pool sparkling clear

Clorox Pool and Spa Chlorinating tablets are the only tablets I will use in my above ground pool. It keeps the water crystal clear, easy to use and seems to last a reasonably long time. We have an 18 ft round above ground pool which I have maintained for the past 5 years. Other tablets just don’t seem to work as well and desolve at a faster rate. These tablets are a bargain and are so easy to use. I just put them into the chlorinator and forget it. After checking my chemical levels, everything is where it should be. I am located in Louisa, VA and I would and have recommended Clorox Pool and Spa tablets to friends.

I run my pool all year long. Algae and leaves are my main problems. After clearing the debris from my pool with the robot. I used this product to clear my cloudy water. Be VERY careful. These are ultra strong. Every time I try to open the container while holding my breath, I still manage to get am enormous amount of chlorine vapor that sears my nose and throat. I don’t have this with HTH. And then when I close up the container, I can still smell it in the air. Be EXTREMELY cautious!!!! Or better yet, do not buy

Clorox XtraBlue Chlorinating Tablets are what I have been using for years and do the job of disinfecting to pool and killing algae just the way it is supposed to work. I have used less expensive tablets a few times in the past without the same pleasant results. I just put one tablet into my dispenser about every 6 or 7 days depending on how the dispenser is set and my pool is sparkling clear. Over a period of time I have learned keeping the pool chemically balanced is very important to maintain an inviting pool. Living in Florida we can use our pool a full 7 months of the year without the need of heating it and my solar heater can extend that to an easy 10 months. With the Clorox Pool Program it is easy to maintain the pool the year round.

I love using the extra chlorine tablets. I use it for my pump and my floating pool or the floor in the dispenser in the pool. I have no qualms with were using it. The only thing that I can say about the chlorine tablet is that it is kind of expensive now and you get a small amount for a small tub.

This is a good product but it didn’t last very long in my pool and it took the whole container in less than 2 weeks. The heat was too much for it to maintain the chlorine in my pool. Normally I can put two tablets in every 2-3 days. I had to use 3 tablets to get the desired effect.

I really like the Clorox XtraBlue 3” chlorinating tablets. 20,000 gallon pool..The Chlorinated tablets works great usually I have 2 in inducer in the summertime and after a rain, once I have the pool balanced. Tablets add to the hardness of the pool and once it up the only way to lower it is drain half the pool. I also add Liquid Chlorination in place of the tablets during colder months. I have found that 2 in the summertime 80-100+ degree days keeps the chlorine level in the ideal range, usually 2 every 4-5 days.

XtraBlue Chlorinating Tablets

After Hurricane Ian it was very difficult to get my pool back the clarity I was used to. Generic chlorine tablets were not working well. Once I started putting the XtraBlue Chlorinating tablets in the chlorinator tube the water quality improved significantly in the first 24 hours along with brushing and cleaning the filter. Great product!!

Definitely effective to use and maintain a swimming pool that is in the hot sun all day during the summer. Water remains pleasant on the skin even though you are using the tablets. Being someone with sensitive skin, I will say using these Chlorinating tablets didn’t affect me at all.

Makes ongoing pool maintenance a bit easier as this type of tablet uses a chemical that both chlorinates and stabilizes the water. Lasts longer than other tablets I’ve used in the past. I noticed that I had less trouble with breakthrough algae when I used these tabs. I like them.

Only 2lb of tabs in a 5lb container.

I purchased the 5lb container of 3″ tabs and I noticed while at Lowes it didn’t feel like it was 5lbs. So when I got home the wife and I weighed them and with them still in the container it all only weighed 2.3 lbs. The container was sealed. I looked on the single pack of 3″ tabs and the weight of each one it take 3 to make 1lb which should give me 15 tabs, The container only had 8 tabs in it.

Really? Do I have to teach you that people who buy your pool chlorinating tablets will most likely keep them by the pool? Most pools are outside. Well CLOROX, guess what happens outside? RAIN. First of all the container is too hard to open. I absolutely could not get it open and it took a while for the husband to get it open. For elderly people I would not recommend purchasing because you may not be able to open. The 5lb container only has 10 tables yet the plastic container can hold more that twice that amount. As other reviews mentioned, this product raises CYA and QUICK. I was using this along with the CLOROX 6 in 1 shock. Both products utilize trichlor, which raises CYA levels. I have a brand new pool, with a cartridge filter and do a lot of maintenance to keep the pool clean. The issue is within a year of using these products (even less for the CLOROX shock, as I was using a different brand before) my CYA is now out of range (about 110 ppm). I will be switching to liquid chlorine and draining/replacing my water slowly as it is summer now. This is not ideal as I am in California and we are in a drought. The products seem to sanitize fine, but not for long once your CYA levels build up and you have to drain your pool.

Simple system using Clorox pool system. Worked well for two years and then the free chlorine dropped soon after adding chlorine, even though total chlorine was through the roof. Problem was chlorine lock caused by accumulating cyanuric acid levels that were over 200. In Southern California, there are restrictions on excess water use, and the solution is the empty the pool which can’t be done. Chloride should also make tablets and shock without cyanuric acid.

We bought the tablets in Costco. Used to have our setting on 3, and the chorine levels were a little too high, so we would always keep the setting at 2. Now, with these newly bought XtraBlue tablets the tests show levels between 0 and 1. We changed the setting to 6 (which is maximum setting on our equipment), wouldn’t change the tests results. So bummed! Just bought a whole new box of it!

Purchased a FIVE (5) pound bucket of 1″ chlorine tablets from Lowes. The bucket felt light in weight from what I perceived was the FIVE pounds. When I returned home, I weighted the 1″ tablet bucket an accurate postal scale. The bucket weighed 3.01 pounds.gross including product. The actual plastic bucket empty weighs 6.08 ounces. The bucket was clearly marked on the label as NET CONTENTS 5 pounds. This is very deceptive to fill with less than 5 pounds net. I complained to the Lowes store customer service who verified the problem. The other buckets on the Lowes shelf were approximately 3 pounds as well.

Never put Chlorine in a skimmer

As a former pool heater repair tech, I would like to point out the issue with Clorox showing a pool skimmer, and mentioning “skimmer sanitizing” by placing chlorine tabs directly into the skimmer. If you really want to destroy your brand new pool heater in literally two weeks, thereby voiding your warranty, this is how you do it! Chlorine EATS copper heat exchanges. You will see pin holes all over your heat exchanger, that quickly turns purple from the corrosive effects of Chlorine being dumped from your skimmer, straight to your heater. It will also destroy the seals on your pool pumps. Bottom line: NEVER add chlorine to your skimmer! Chlorine must be at the end of the plumbing chain, going last into your pool. That way, it gets diluted before reaching your skimmer. An inline chlorinator adds the chlorine into your pool, as your pump pushes it outward. You never want a pool pump yo suck chlorine. Always push it into the pool. Clorox is a great product, but they are not pool techs. I also can’t begin to tell you how many times I have listened to a customer tell me that their local pool chemical store told them to put chlorine into their skimmer. These guys will destroy your pool heater, and blame you when your warranty is voided by the manufacturer.

Horrible Packaging

I bought a 5 # pail of the Clorox Xtra Blue 3″ tablets on an end-of-season sale at Walmart. I will never buy them again. I don’t know how well the tablets work, because I just bought them. However, I had to take a screwdriver to get the lid off. The push-the-corner and simultaneously lift the lid is almost impossible for someone over 65 with arthritis to do. Looks like I will be going back to the pool store to purchase its individually wrapped 3″ tablets. I took the Clorox tablets out of the bucket and put them in an old pool store pail.

Clean and chemistry balanced

Been using the tablets for my inground pool from time the product was introduced on to the market and I have found that they last longer than most of the other products I have used and the chemical balance of the pool is always stable. I have also use some of the other products like the PH increasers and the test kit and they also work very well. I have taken my poolwater to my local pool dealer to be tested and then used the Clorox test kit to test my pool water and the results were almost the same.

Be Very Careful

Be careful when using this product. These tablets contain Cyanuric Acid, a chlorine stabilizer which is great to a certain point. Once you go over that point, it will over-stabilize your chlorine and render it ineffective. So you will add more and more to kill the algae but it won’t work. Once your pool is over-stabilized, the only way to fix it is drain a bunch of water out and refill the pool, which can be expensive. IF you test with strips, you can get a false Cyanuric Acid reading and think you need more chlorine. The only way to test it correctly is to take your water sample to a pool store and let them test it. Clorox probably adds the Cyanuric Acid to get the tabs to last longer. You just have to be very careful that you don’t get too much. I normally use the Clorox products and have had good luck.

Great supplement in hot weather!

I have a 15′ oval above ground pool with the SimpleSalt system. Last summer, I found that the system simply couldn’t keep up with the high temperatures and bright sunlight here in Coastal SC. After about a month of struggling with clarifiers and other products (which is why I chose the salt system to begin with – I wanted to do away with all those products!), someone suggested adding one of these tablets to my skimmer once every two weeks. Since then, I have had absolutely no problems with the cloudy water I experienced last year. A great product, and much cheaper than the other additives I was having to buy!

Great tablets, don’t fall apart

Love these tablets. 1 of the 3″ tablets will last an entire week in my 11k gal fiberglass pool and they don’t fall apart and become a mushy mess in my auto chlorinator. I tried the HTH tabs and they fell apart and became a mushy mess. Plus these have the activator in them to help maintain chlorine balance – the HTH did not. Each tablet came in its own sealed package that was easy to open without needing scissors.

DO NOT buy/use this product. The “OTHER INGREDIENTS………5.95%” will increase the Cyanuric Acid (CYA) without any control measures in place. There are only two ways to reduce CYA from your pool: 1) drain __% of your pool and refill with fresh water; 2) if someone in your city offers it, there are reverse osmosis trucks that can pull water from your pool, remove the CYA from that water and put it back in your pool. Neither of these options are cheap or fast. If you are unfamiliar with what high levels of CYA will do to your pool water, either google it or continue reading. Either way, RUN from this product because you will eventually regret the results that these “OTHER INGREDIENTS” have on your backyard oasis. CYA acts as a buffer for chlorine from the sun which, in balanced amounts is good. However, once it reaches numbers in the 90+, the chlorine is no longer effective at keeping your water clean so you can have chlorine over 5ppm and the water is still cloudy and green. Before I figured out the problem with my water chemistry, I had bumped the chlorine to 11.5ppm and it was still green because the CYA was around 100. One final note, it isn’t like CYA is some rare unobtainable chemical. It is easily acquired at your local pool store where you can add it in very controlled amounts so it is a real shame that Clorox is hiding it within most of their chlorine products without telling their consumers.

We have an above ground pool and have always bought the hth 6 in 1 tablets. But this year I saw the Clorox 6 in 1 and thought, great brand name, this will work even better. No, that is not the case. Even keeping my water balanced, I am fighting allege and decreasing chlorine numbers. It is supposed to have an algaecide and a stabilizer in the tablets. When using the hth 6 and 1 3″ tablets I never had an algae problem and the stabilizer in it works the way it should keeping my chlorine levels up. I was very disappointed in this product and will go back to the hth tablets next year.
