Algae remover

We bought this because it was convenient and easy to use. However, I don’t see any results. There’s just not enough ingredients to kill the algae. Our pool guy recommended a 60% version that we will be buying. Kind of a waste of money that we started with this and didn’t work.

What’s with the blue water?

I’m using the Awesome Algaecide in a recirculating fountain with enormous algae growth due to the extreme hot weather. Nothing on the bottle label or on the website about the water turning blue. We’ll se what happens over the next 12 hours.

With no directions for using this product how do we know how much to use in our pool???

It says “Pool and Spa”

Nowhere online or on the actual bottle of the algaecide can I find how much one should put in a spa. The label clearly reads Pool and Spa. So how much do you use in, say, a 300-gallon spa?

No dosage guide per pool gallons, How much to use per 10,000 gallons.

Great product to have on hand at home at all time.

The algaecide is one of the products we really need to have on hand. It has proven efficacy on killing the algae and leaving our pool clear, specially after a rain event. I have seen a bid difference going from cloudy water to clear.

Cloudy

No directions on container or on line. used half a bottle in ten thousand gallon pool for green algae. 12 hours later, algae gone but water is cloudy. I suppose its my fault for not returning it and guessing the dosage. Based dosage on watching the video.

Cloudy

Not so happy. I used this product and my pool is a clue cloudy disaster. I have tried everything to get my pool uncloudy but nothing is working. Highly disappointed. But my alkalinity it in the range I need it to be in. I am just worried it’s not safe to still swim in because it’s so cloudy.

No instructions for dosage

No dosage specs on the bottle or on the web, might be in the mobile app but gotta give an email address and have a supported mobile device to find out, i have a bottle, will return to the store and get algaecide that has instructions.

A must product!

This product is a lot better than other products I used to use. This product surely killed algae and I was able to brush them off corners with ease. I use it weekly now and plan to use it before and after I open my AG salt pool.

Name says it all

This product is being used in my pool now, and having water checked have no problems at all. Happy with results so far and expect it to continue to do the job for the rest of the summer. Which will make my summer more enjoyable.

Clorox Awesome Algaecide is a great product. It works as described and does a great job clearing up the pool. The steps to apply this product was very easy. I would recommend this product. Awesome Algaecide is a great product.

Awesome Algaecide for our pool needs to keep us up

The Clorox Algaecide works great in our back yard pool. It is affordable and effective in beating back algae. It has helped us to keep our pool swimming ready for these warm springtime swims and the upcoming hot summer days.

This Algaecide Helped!

I’ve been a self-taught pool owner for 15+ years and I always have trouble keeping my pool clean. When I recently found myself with a green pool (again – ugh), I used the Clorox Awesome Algaecide (along with shock) and within a couple of days my pool started clearing up. I like the fact that you can see the product go into the pool at first. I will be using this some more–hopefully as a maintenance product now.

Algae killer

Helped me get rid of my dark green pool super fast! I’ve used it to also maintain my pool from getting green again with the preventative amounts they tell you to put and i haven’t had an issue since! Definitely my favorite!

THE BEST

What a great product, in winter we didn’t use the pool a lot, so we kind of forget about maintenance. And our pool get a lot of algas, with the help of this product we were able to to clean our pool in 48 hours. It’s is great

Great to fight off green algae!

Didn’t properly close our pool for the winter months, so we had a pretty good green algae situation throughout our pool. This helped combat the issue and cleared up the pool very well. I definitely recommend this product!

A must have for pool owners

I have been using this product for years now! It is a must have product when living in Florida! Between the heat and the rain it can sometimes be difficult to maintain our pool. Weekly treatments in addition to the phosphate remover keep my pool clear.

A must have to keep the slime away

I add a little of this to my pool every week. Guaranteed to keep algae away. Along with using shock and keeping my chemicals stable, this works 100%. I’ve never felt my pool feel even slightly slimy. This is a must to have added to your pool.

Living in south Florida, it’s a daily battle with the algae in this heat. Follow the label and use it monthly to maintain a perfectly clear pool. Will continue to purchase and use to keep the pool looking it’s best.

AWAY WITH THE GREEN

Living in Florida we periodically develop an algae problem in our water. I started using the Clorox Green Algae Eliminator. I use it weekly in our pool now. Approximately 1.5-2 ounces. Have not had a algae issue since.

Green Water no more!

This spring was a warm one, and the pool water got away from me. You guessed it green water! Awesome Algaecide took care of the problem in the twinkling of an eye. I added shock to the pool, ran the pump for an hour, then added 16 ounces of Awesome Algaecide, continued running the pump for 24 hours. I’ve got to say, it was a great pleasure to wake up to my pool being clear, and I could see to bottom of my blue liner. I’m going to use as a preventative once a week.

Great Product That Works Very Well

Works incredibly well for us. We have a shallower plaster pool and live in the Houston area, so hot and humid. We use this once a week during the peak warmer/hot months on Wednesday’s, and do pool shocks on Monday’s. The schedule works well for us, and keeps the pool nice and clear.

A Must Have

I love Clorox Products. They are very easy to use and works wonders on my above ground pool! Using the test strips help make the measurements a better easy going process. Highly recommend for any pool

New Algaecide

I haven’t tried this particular line of algaecides before this. I started this past week to get ready to open for the season and it seemed to help clear up some mildly cloudy water. This has some slightly different portion sizes and time frames than others that I have used, so that will be interesting to see how it performs.

Perfect for any algae needs!!

After winterizing my pool, it was a very easy to clear up the algae that had accumulated due to non use. Easy to follow guidelines and the product worked amazing! No harsh smell and cleared up very quickly!

Bye Bye Algae!

Love this product. After it rains, I add this product to the pool. Last year for some reason our pool would get algae after raining (never happened in past years). It would take a couple of days to clear up. I got this product and added it after a early morning rain shower. I was happy it did not take days to fix. This product is now my go to for algae.

Easy to use. Great for preventative maintenance.

Product works great. Add a little to the pool each week as part of my routine and never have any algae. The directions are easy to follow and there is no guessing how much product to add based on the size of my pool.

Takes the Algae away

This Algaecide lives up to the Clorox name. Super easy to use. It amazed me at how quickly it worked for my spring pool opening. I had more algae than normal this year, but with Clorox Algaecide and shock we are back to crystal clear water. I recommend to anyone with a pool.

Nice modern packaging but should have a place on the side to measure doses. The product is very good and rich looking. A very good preventive ,even if you can’t see algae…………………………………………….

Works Great on Mustard Algae

I usually get Mustard Algae, a few times a year. Clorox Pool Xtra Blue Algaecide is always what I use, kills all of the algae within a couple of days. I’ve tried other brands but this one is the best by far!!

Great Algaecide

The Clorox Algaecide really helps keep my pool algae free. I usually try adding this weekly to my pool but when the temps are pretty hot and it’s been raining my pool seems to start getting algae on the bottom. I will add and extra amount of algaecide to my pool and it always gets rid of the algae. Great product

Great product for algae treatment and maintenance

This algaecide works well to clear up any outbreak that I’ve had in a few days in combination with proper brushing. I also use it for weekly maintenance to ensure I won’t have any major algae blooms. I recommend monitoring mineral levels, as this is copper based and using too much could cause consequences.

Works like a charm

I was very surprised when I walked outside to find my above ground swimming pool looking like a swamp. This was my first experience with algae. I followed the directions on the bottle and by the next day the pool was back to it’s beautiful clear self.

Early algae

Great product that had a huge impact on the pool even very early in the season. Had some early algae due to a low chlorine level and this product cleared up the issue very defectively. I’m sure I’ll be using it through the summer as maintenance.

Great product, highly recommend

Works great, I use it whenever I need it and gets rid of my problem quickly! I would recommend this product for any above ground pool. I have used others and they left a soapy film in my pool, but not this one!

Great product

Great product. I used this product to eliminate green algae off of the walls of my 22,000 gallon inground pool. After scrubbing pool walls with a brush and then applying the product, my pool water was clear and blue once again.

Bye bye algae

Nobody likes to get algae. Using this product on regular basis will help avoid that. But especially in the Arizona heat, getting behind can happen. This product really helps keep you pool looking great and the algae away!

Great product

The Algaecide works well, but I find that it takes more than the recommended dose – much more. The particulars could be specific to my pool. But, as far as working – this definitely works! It is cloudy at first, but then leaves a cleaner pool behind!

Algaecide

I added this to my pool at the recommended rate to kill green algae for my seasonal startup. There was a noticeable difference in the amount of algae after 2 days. All I need to is a quick brush and it should be good to go

Excellent Algaecide

I use this as part of my weekly pool maintenance and it has worked perfectly. I have had only a few minor mustard algae spots that show from time to time in the summer, after a rain storm. I simply brush them and use the weekly dose. Has worked great.

Great results

I have had great results with Clorox algae eliminator. This is my go to product after a good rain to help any algae issues that might arise. I have found if I use the recommended weekly dose after a heavy rain I have not have any issues with the pool turning green.

Perfect

Just what it says. Perfect algicide to keep algae down. I use it during the summer to help because my chlorine goes so fast in the summer, sometimes I can not keep up. This helps it from getting out of control.

Great product to handle tough messes

Maintained my pool by myself for the first time last year. Ended up dealing with a large green algae outbreak. Used a bottle of this stuff and the algae cleared out in a weeks time. Great for outbreaks or weekly maintenance.
